Zip Keep Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 4, 2026
Zip Keep is a local archive viewing app. This Privacy Policy explains how we process relevant information when you use this app.
1. Information We May Process
Заголовок раздела «1. Information We May Process»Depending on the features you actually use, Zip Keep may process the following information on your device:
- Archive files that you actively select, import, or pass to this app through system document flows
- Extracted files and folders created from those archives
- Archive project records, including display name, source file name, file paths, archive format, import time, last opened time, deletion records, size information, and content fingerprints
- Preview metadata needed to browse files, identify entry files, and resume local viewing state
- Local runtime storage written by HTML content rendered inside the app, when applicable
- Purchase status, restore purchase status, and entitlement validity status, when purchases are available
Zip Keep does not provide an app account system, and it does not collect, upload, extract, or sync your archive files through a self-hosted server.
2. How We Use This Information
Заголовок раздела «2. How We Use This Information»We process the information above mainly to:
- Open, import, extract, organize, browse, and preview archive files that you choose
- Keep each imported archive as an independent local project folder
- Preserve relative paths and locate previewable files inside an archive
- Show a list of previously opened archive projects on the home screen
- Avoid unnecessary duplicate local work where safe
- Provide purchase, restore purchase, and necessary purchase status confirmation when purchases are available
3. How Information Is Stored
Заголовок раздела «3. How Information Is Stored»Zip Keep operates with a local-first approach. Imported archive records, extracted project folders, preview metadata, and related local records are saved locally on your device by default.
The first-stage product does not use a ZipKeep-operated account service, cloud sync service, or remote extraction service. Deleting the app may remove local app data from the device according to iOS / iPadOS behavior.
4. WebKit and External Resources
Заголовок раздела «4. WebKit and External Resources»Zip Keep may use Apple WebKit WKWebView to render local HTML files found inside archives. It does not implement its own HTML parser or rendering engine.
The app does not provide a remote URL browser. However, if HTML content you open contains external images, scripts, styles, links, or other network resources, WKWebView may initiate network requests according to the HTML content and system WebKit behavior. Those requests are determined by the HTML content you open.
5. Permissions
Заголовок раздела «5. Permissions»Zip Keep may use the following system capabilities as needed by its features:
- File access or document opening capabilities, used to read archive files that you actively select or pass to this app
- Local storage, used to save extracted project folders and metadata on your device
- Network access, only when system preview or HTML content you open causes network access, or when App Store purchase validation requires it
- StoreKit, used to process purchases, restore purchases, and purchase status confirmation when purchases are available
You can manage network and app file access settings in system settings. Restricting related capabilities may make dependent features unavailable, but it will not affect local viewing paths that do not depend on those capabilities.
6. Your Choices
Заголовок раздела «6. Your Choices»You can manage information in the following ways:
- Delete archive projects you no longer need inside the app
- Manage network and app file access permissions in system settings
- Manage or cancel auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple’s subscription management entry
- Remove local data from this device by deleting the app
7. Children
Заголовок раздела «7. Children»Zip Keep provides local archive viewing capabilities for general users. We recommend that parents or guardians assist children in using this app and manage file sources, network access, and device permissions.
8. Updates to This Policy
Заголовок раздела «8. Updates to This Policy»If product features or applicable rules change, we may update this Privacy Policy. The updated version will be published on this page.
9. Contact
Заголовок раздела «9. Contact»If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us using the developer contact information published on the App Store product page or the Contact Us page.
